Hudson Valley Reporter: Author Allison Pataki Shares History of Traitor and Wife

Allison Pataki, daughter of former Gov. George Pataki, says she has always had a keen interest in history, particularly the local history of Putnam County, which is what motivated her to write her first historical novel, “The Traitor’s Wife,” which tells the story of Peggy Shippen, the wife of Benedict Arnold, and the role she played in his decision to defect during the American Revolution.
